Joel S. Brudner, a highly experienced real estate professional who has worked for more than 25 years in all facets of the northeast commercial and residential markets, directs the operations of MB1 Capital Partners as Managing Partner and co-founder.
Prior to the formation of MB1, Mr. Brudner was Executive Vice President and Partner with Gottesman Real Estate Partners from 2007 until November 2011. During this period he was responsible for sourcing acquisitions, due diligence and closing of the purchase and financing processes, and for overseeing asset management and development, in partnership with one of the tri-state area's leading real estate investor families.
Mr. Brudner was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1992 until 2007 at The PRC Group based in West Long Branch, New Jersey. At this privately held regional real estate firm he had overall responsibility for business development, financing and investor relations. Mr. Brudner coordinated planning for investment opportunities and capital strategies; he also oversaw leasing and asset management, including successful development projects in downtown Red Bank, Eatontown and Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Mr. Brudner was instrumental in expanding the organization into a diversified real estate investment company with versatile services and capabilities. While at PRC, he served as president of an affiliated company that provided real estate consulting services to nationally-recognized corporate tenants and as board member of its banking subsidiary.
Prior to joining PRC, Mr. Brudner was Vice President of Asset Management for The M. Alfieri Company, with responsibility for the development, leasing and management of approximately six million square feet of commercial real estate. He played a prominent role in many successful development projects, including the renowned Metro Park campus in Edison, New Jersey. Mr. Brudner spent eight years at Alfieri, including four years as Corporate Controller overseeing all financial, human resources, and technology functions.
Mr. Brudner began his career as a C.P.A., handling auditing and consulting engagements for real estate, hospitality, and financial services clients at Grant Thornton, a national accounting firm.
Mr. Brudner graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in business administration and economics in 1981. He has been involved in several corporate, charitable and community organizations, and resides in Manalapan, New Jersey.
