Christopher McCallion is co-founder of MB1 Capital Partners and has over 25 years of experience in the energy and real estate industries. Prior to the formation of MB1, Mr. McCallion was a partner at Caithness Energy, LLC and served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1991 to 2009.

During his tenure at Caithness Energy, Mr. McCallion was instrumental in building the Company into one of the largest privately held independent power producers in the United States. With a focus on environmentally – friendly renewable and fossil fueled projects, Caithness successfully developed, constructed, acquired, operated and owned 35 projects including 2,000 megawatts of gas turbine projects, 1,200 megawatts of wind projects, 350 megawatts of geothermal projects, and 160 megawatts of solar projects. Mr. McCallion was involved in all aspects of building this portfolio including identifying development and acquisition targets, negotiating power purchase agreements with local utilities, working with various project partners to secure the required project equity and to manage the many aspects of each project and securing over 3 billion dollars of non-recourse project debt financing.

Prior to joining Caithness, Mr. McCallion was Corporate Controller for The M. Alfieri Company, a regional real estate development company, with responsibility for all financial, tax, risk management and technology functions.

Mr. McCallion started his career at the international accounting and consulting firm Arthur Young where as a C.P.A. he worked on various auditing and tax assignments for clients in a variety of industries as well as for not for profit clients.

Mr. McCallion graduated from Seton Hall University in 1983. He has been actively involved in commercial real estate investments for the past decade, and serves as an advisor and board member for various corporate as well as charitable organizations.
